8 Years, a Few Detours, and a Whole Lot of Words Waiting to Be Written
Life, am I right?
Somehow, what was meant to be a “short break” from writing turned into eight (yes, eight) years of putting my stories on the back burner. Between trying to stay sane in the corporate hustle, loving on grandbabies, taming dachshunds, soaking up Florida sunshine, and just, you know… surviving life, writing quietly slipped into the background. Not because I didn’t love it anymore, but because I forgot how much I need it.
But here’s the twist—I never stopped thinking about my characters. They’ve been living rent-free in my head this whole time, whispering (okay, yelling) at me to finish their stories. And finally, after years of creative limbo and the occasional “maybe tomorrow,” I sat down at the keyboard… and something magical happened. The writer’s block broke. The words started flowing again. And I realized: writing isn’t just something I do—it’s something that keeps me whole.
So now, I’m back. Not just dipping my toes in—I’m diving in with a vengeance. I’m dusting off those love stories and mystical fantasy worlds and pouring every bit of heart and magic I’ve been holding onto for the past several years into my writing.
To those of you who’ve supported me, checked in, and kept the faith—thank you from the bottom of my sandy, slightly-sarcastic, storytelling soul. Your belief in me means more than you’ll ever know.
And to those of you who are new here—welcome! I’m Clarena Wise, and you’re about to step into some stories that are part heart, part magic, and a whole lot of adventure. Buckle up, buttercup. It’s going to be one epic ride—full of fantasy, romance, and a little bit of mayhem.
